Award Detail: This award is a one-time $1000 award to one student based on academic merit, participation in extracurricular activities and community service, one letter of recommendation from one of the applicant’s current or former teachers, and a personal essay. Eligibility: To apply, the student must be a high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The recipient must demonstrate a desire to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education at a four-year South Dakota college or university following high school.
